June Blum has been painting black and white linear paintings since the 60ıs. Although non objective in appearance, they hold, in line, the art world of experience and understanding. Influenced by de Kooning and the diversity of Picasso, Blumıs pieces are complex works with complex variations of color through black and white. June Blum, artist and former museum curator, was awarded the medal of honor in 2003 for her advancement of the study of women in the arts, and acknowledged by the National Museum of Women in the Arts.
