In "Procession," I am exhibiting mural sized drawings (charcoal and acrylic) as well as smaller works. They involve self-generated themes related to the show's title, as well as personal meditations on early renaissance and medieval images of The Annunciation, specifically those of Fra Angelico and Simone Martini, and the life of St Margaret of Antioch as depicted in Norwegian Stave church paintings from the 13th century. As I copy and rework these paintings, the protagonists take on a life of their own, mix with each other and with the images of my own generating, thus creating a new allegory.
